Anaplazmoza

Prejšnji teden sem Luno peljala k veterinarju, da bi jo cepila proti kužnim boleznim oz. da preverimo urin, ki sem ga uspešno ulovila na sprehodu, če ima kako vnetje, ker je zadnje dni spet ful lulala doma in tbl proti inkotinenci niso pomagale. No, cepili je nismo, sedimentacija v urinu je povečana, tokrat pa smo ji uspeli po hudih mukah in težavah (ne boj, mesarsko klanje varianta, hehe) vzeti tudi kri. In hitri test krvi je pokazal anaplazmo oz. erlihijo, k sreči so vsi ostali testi (borelija, srčna glista) negativni. Najprej je bil seveda totalen šok, ker je pes zdrav, sicer je nekaj bruhala en mesec nazaj, a nič posebnega. Glede na vse težave, ki jih ima (stalno vneta ušesa, praskanje po določeni hrani, pogosto bruhanje ipd.), je skoraj 100%, da je test povsem pravilen, verjetno pa ima to bolezen že kar nekaj časa. Nadaljnje krvne teste bomo delali v maju, ko bo en mesec od 4-tedenske terapije z antibiotiki. AB trenutno dobro prenaša, ni nobenih vidnih stranskih učinkov, nič ne bruha, je živahna ipd. Upam, da tudi današnja dvojna doza zjutraj (rahla neorganiziranost družinskih članov) ne bo pustila večjih posledic. Najbrž sem vesela, da smo ugotovili, kaj Luni povzroča toliko težav, po drugi strani pa sem seveda šokirana in žalostna, da jo je doletelo še to. Sicer z bruhanjem nimamo več težav, od lanskih epizod bruhanja od januarja pa do nekje maja je bruhala morda ene 5x, pa še to običajno že zvečer, če je kaj takega zunaj pojedla in ne več ponoči. Tudi ušesa so ok, sicer se pogosto zapacajo, ampak že eno leto ni imela antibiotičnih kapljic za ušesa, kar je VELIK napredek, saj jih je prej dobivala na 2-3 mesece.

Smo jo pa malo bolj crkljali čez vikend, dobila je kuhana jetrca in korenje in jih začuda ni »posesala«, ampak jih je celo grizla med jedjo. Klicala sem jo kar moj mali narkomanček, ker je imela obe tački pobriti in celi rdeči tam, ker so se ji naredili hematomi ob jemanju krvi – je takoj premaknila taco, ko je vet. zadela žilo in se je takoj naredil hematom. Pa po Seno smo šli v nedeljo, da smo še njo peljali na Jakoba, potem pa sta lenarili vsaka na svojem koncu stanovanja, Senka si je privoščila luksuz spanja v postelji, ker ji to doma ni dovoljeno :o) Senini družini smo olajšali še včerajšnji večerni sprehod, da ni B. rabil puščat malih dveh samih doma. Luna je bila vesela, Sena pa je tudi zgledala zelo razposajena. Ja, v nedeljo je bila tako živahna, kot je še nikoli v vseh teh letih nisem videla. Je vlekla, lajala, renčala, jedla sneg … to, kar ponavadi počne Luna, Sena pa mirno hodi zraven :o)

Last week I took Luna to her vet to vaccinate her for »infective diseases« and to find out if there's smthg wrong with her urine, because she was peeing indoor lately even though I gave her drugs for incotinence. Well, we didn't vaccinate her, her urine isn't good and we managed to take her blood – finally, she is a total drama queen and we weren't successful two years ago. Qucik test of blood showed that she's positive for anaplasma (erlichiosis), luckily she doesn't have borelia or heartworm. I was totally shocked at first, of course, couse Luna is healthy recently, although she puked last month but nothing serious. Regarding all her problems (often sore ears, vomiting, scratching when eating some food etc.) it almost 100% sure that quick test is right. She must have this disease for quite a while now. We will run further blood test in May to be sure in which phase the disease is – then she'll be one month since her 4-week therapy with antibiotics. She handels AB well currently, she doesn't have any side effects, she doesn't vomit, she's lively etc. I hope that she won't have any conseqences after her double dose of drugs this morning (my family membrs didn't quite understand who's in charge for them). I guess I'm happy that we found out what's wrong with Luna but on the other side I'm shocked and sad that she has to suffer this. We don't have any bigger problems with her vomitting like last winter and spring when she puked every week 2-4 times. Since May she puked about 5 times. She also doesn't have problems with her ears any more, she didn't have AB for them for one year now, which is quite a succes since she had it before on 2-3 months.

We cuddled Luna a bit more over the weekend, I called her my little junkie, couse she had shawed paws and hematoma on them :o) My mother cooked her poultry liver and carrots and she managed to eat them not to »vacuume« them like she normally does with her food. We also took her friend Sena on Sunday to take them both to one hill named Jakob near Ljubljana. After the walk they were very lazy and Sena took the benefit of allowed sleeping in bed :o) I also took Sena and Luna out yesterday evening that B. didn't need to leave the girls home alone. Sena was very cheerful this weekend, I've never seen her behave like thaht – she pulled, barked and eat snow and so on – just like Luna and the opposite of peaceful Sena :o)
